SQL Server Developer – £35,000 to £45,000 DOE + Benefits – Remote, UK
The Role
Do you possess at least 2 years’ SQL Server experience with developing code, have experience with PowerShell, enjoy the challenge of new projects? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.
We are a market leader in database, server, application support, and database development. We are now looking to expand our SQL Server development team and are looking for a SQL Server Developer with excellent client-facing skills to join our growing team.
You will need to be enthusiastic and willing to learn whilst mentorship will be provided from senior members of the team. The company is serious about fostering talent and being the best in their field, investing heavily in training and staff development.
There will be access to further ongoing training via the Microsoft Certification Program and the opportunity for career progression and moving into other areas such as Business Intelligence, Cloud Computing, or DBA work.
Key Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of a SQL Server Developer include, but are not limited to:
Working with SQL Server features and environments, both on-prem and cloud-based.
Working with PowerShell to automate processes.
Working with individual clients on a project-by-project basis providing solutions to current problems.
Further ongoing training via the Microsoft Certification Program.

The Person
The key skills and qualities of a SQL Server Developer are:
2 – 5 year’s DBA experience with administering Microsoft SQL Server in production environments.
A good understanding of SQL Server Development and basic trouble shooting skills.
Good T-SQL skills, i.e. writing and executing queries.
Good performance tuning experience.
Be able to think on your feet and come up with new and innovative ways of resolving complex problems.
Have excellent oral and written communications skills and be fluent in both written and spoken English.
Must be self-motivated and eager to learn.
