The WellData Support Structure (WSS)

The WSS is an integrated set of support tools underpinning the proactive support of systems under our care.

The WSS:

  • Handles requests from all users.
  • Monitors and reports on the systems under our care.
  • Manages emergency alarms and events.
  • Reports support staff activities.
  • Displays and alerts on all notifiable events.

Job Request System (JRS)

The JRS manages and records support team activities. Requests are raised by clients, by the support team, automatically by internal scheduling systems or programmatically by our monitoring systems.

The JRS captures support activity information allowing clear analysis for users. It ensures that the job is done as below:

  • Right Job
  • Right Time
  • Right Specification
  • Recording of changes and completion notes and times.
It can be used to raise requests, including emergencies, to generate alarms via WellData's Alarm Handling System. Emergencies are always treated as urgent.

WellData Stability Monitor (WSM)

The WSM ensures the stability of supported systems.

It covers a number of areas:

  • Environment: Power, telecoms, site availability, etc.
  • Availability Monitoring: The ability to function as intended.
  • Jobs/Tasks/Activities: Monitoring of periodic tasks for timely and correct execution
  • Structural Stability: Detecting changes to structural elements of supported systems.
  • Dynamic Stability: Detecting changes to dynamic components of the systems
  • Other: Monitoring the monitoring system for correct function.

Emergency Alarm Handling

Some incidents need an Emergency Alarm, alerting a member of the support team to deal with it.

They can be raised: by the client, by the support team or programmatically by WSM.

Reporting System

The WellData Reporting System produces and displays soft and/or hard copy versions of the underlying information and records held about the supported systems.

  • Operations Guide: Detailed information covering the supported systems.
  • Issues and Observations: Notes regarding the supported systems
  • Activity Reports Actions and results of work performed.
  • SLA Reports Availability Reports.

The Business Ready function allows clients to perform a readiness check to ensure that all critical systems are ready for the day's business.
