October 2007 WellData wins United Nations Contract.
The WellData sales team, have recently secured the contract to support a division of the United Nations. Based in Cambridge, this arm of the UN deal with monitoring of the environmental changes across the globe, an important, role which is currently in the public eye.
WellData are providing 24 hour support for the SQL and Oracle servers that supply the data for web portals used across the world, by both the oil and gas industries, and educational and scientific organizations.

With environmental issues being a high profile topic at the moment, it’s an opportunity for WellData to step into the limelight, and get involved in a worthy project that’s important to everyone in the world’.

October 2007 WellData’s Proteus Partnership Confirmed!
Professor John Hutton the director of Project Proteus 2012 has confirmed this week, that WellData’s petition to become a partner of the project team has been granted. Prof Hutton stated he and the rest of the project partners were ‘delighted WellData would be joining them, in this important initiative’.
Project Proteus 2012 objective is to provide an integrated information system to supply biodiversity and conservation information to the international community. Proteus is a partnership between UNEP-WMC and the private sector, initiated in 2003, whose most significant achievement to date has been the rebuilding of the World Database on Protected Areas.

July 2007 WellData cross swords with competitor and deliver the coup de grace
WellData have recently celebrated the return of one of their prestigious clients after just six weeks support by a rival.
Knight Frank is a large real estate agent who had been a WellData client for 7 years previously decided to look at other options particularly a cheaper solution from another outsourcing company. However within just six weeks of trying to hand over primary support to their competitors WellData were reinstated. A spokesman for Knight Frank pointed out that the level of WellData’s support and technical ability far exceeded that of their competitor. Most of the data under support is ‘mission critical’ they felt far more confident with the WellData team at the helm.

WellData are delighted to announce they have just agreed to move their administration and sales teams to a new, larger office complex in Kingston –upon –Thames. The need for more space has been soley driven by the requirement to recruit more and more staff. With this years turnover looking to be the largest for many years WellData are keen to capitalize on their success from last year and the first two quarters of this year.

A large, newly created bank, have awarded the support contract of their databases to Welldata. Using technologies such as Oracle 10g, SQL and Sybase this diverse and challenging contract is proof positive of WellData’s continuing success in the ever expanding marketplace of outsourced IT support.With over 30% of WellData’s clients operating within the financial marketplace, confidence in WellData’s ability to provide and manage a stable and secure database environment is riding high.
